I have started to develop a relationship with this business over the course of the past few months and they have advised me on various matters. It would not be disingenuous of me to say that I have been very happy to pay their bills (good value that this Firm is) because the value they have added to my business has been exceptional in terms of supplying highly expert and commercially focused advice. I have dealt with David and Lynn and both have reacted extremely speedily to my needs (albeit I am a very small client) and have discussed, explained and advised on matters in easily to understand language.

I provide this review based on my own personal experience with this firm. I Paid Halliday Campbell over 83,000 in legal fees. Then received a further spent amount which I was shocked at receiving this, So I disputed this further bill which was also a way lot higher than I was expecting which was another over 35,000. I disputed this amount with the owner David Halliday given I was annoyed I disputed and refused to pay this further amount the matter is now going before the SLCC. Then the firm refused to hand over my file even for any off the 83,000 of the work I had already paid them. So I couldnt get my cost properly taxed by the Auditor of the court of Session after I went all alone to win my case against my utterly dishonest accountant former Mr Lorimar Stewart of 2 Grant Ave Colington Edinburgh whom had hid 100,000 of pre signed cheques I provided him and The accountant faked letters and events against me when I was out of the country which I went on to proof in the end. (Nine Years one) Halliday Campbell only came into the action at the later stages in the Court of Session Edinburgh Halliday Campbell then later put in an account for taxation for only approx. 20,000 to the Auditor of the court of session only on the basis that I personally went on and win against the dishonest former accountant. So be-warned you might only be able to recover fees of 25% even if you do win your case which I did later on my own. Halliday Campbell after I informed them, I went on to win alone what they then did I personally think was really awful as later, they tried to have awarded by the court all the other legal costs I have paid to other firms which had nothing what so ever to do with them. Halliday Campbell then went to court to try and have this ordered ,can you believe it money they were not even entitled to get from my previous third parties they had nothing to do with at this all. They went to court and his Lordship Lord Doherty was having nothing of the sort and refused Halliday Campbell attempts to had paid to them all monies I was owed for expenses by winning my case from other lawyers I was personally owed money back from the former accountants How Halliday Campbell think they have a right to other fees I have paid to other lawyers and experts over the nine years of this case which was five times more in what they were saying was due in fees was nothing other than an utter disgrace in my personal view. Also, If using this firm be very very careful if a fee argument does happen with this firm you want get your files if you are in any dispute with them and also be prepared that Paying them 250.00 per hour to maybe only to get 62.50 back per even is you win your case The tens of thousands paid to them a fraction of this and even now the claimed at taxation by them of Approx 20,000 is still not taxed or paid. its still sitting in limbo months after the Auditor of the Court of session has refused to tax there own account . I would not ever consider using them again although this is my personal review about my experience of this firm.
