I needed a quick dinner. Would definitely recommend Ong gie. Its a very casual restaurant. Jeans and T-shirt kind of vibe. They have grills at the table for a bbq but I was a party of 1, slightly hungry and didnt have energy to grill. However their menu has a variety of meat and fish dishes. I went for the yangeoum chicken (sweet based sauced boneless chicken), egg brown rice and stir fried pork and vegetables (which has more mushrooms than veggies). On a side note, is mushroom considered a vegetable? The pork was a little too oily and salty for my taste but the rice was neutral and the sweet chicken balanced the savouriness. The staff was super friendly, took a little time to get my order but besides that the rest of the service was good. The banchan is basic. Never been a fan because its typically cold. Would I go back again. Yes, the portions are good and I spent approximately 32.
