Slumdog Delivered - Indian Takeaway (West)

Made an order via Uber eats and been waiting for delivery for 2 hours now. Tried calling restaurants- no one is picking up. No clear update on the uber app. Poor service, wouldnt recommend it

AVOID. Extremely poor experience 29th May 2022 Ordered online to collect from the Morningside branch. Drove 15 minutes to discover a closed store with dead flies in the window. Telephoned and was told our meal was being prepared in Newington and that they would deliver by way of apology. Asked how long to expect it to take and was told 30 minutes. Drove home again empty handed. 40 minutes passed to called them to check they had our delivery details noted correctly as was originally a collection. Was told to expect the food to arrive in 5-10 minutes. 20 minutes went past so phoned again. was told it would be 5 minutes max. Explained that they had told us that 20 minutes earlier and asked when the food had left the shop. Was told the driver was at that time in Comiston which is still a 15 minute drive from our house. Food eventually arrived after a further 30 minutes and was unsurprisingly stone cold. We had to reheat. Half the order, 3 x pilau rice, was missing, so we had to dispatch someone to drive to a shop to purchase microwave rice (at this point after 9pm on a Sunday so not a lot of shops open). No pakora sauce was delivered for either the veg or the paneer pakoras. 2 of the dishes were not what we'd ordered. Lamb Jalfrezie had been swapped for a chicken curry that was too spicy for my spice loving son to consume. Chicken Tikka Masala had been swapped for Paneer Butter Masala, another disappointed and hungry son. This was particularly worrying as we are a family with medical dietary requirements. The Galafi Seekh Kebab was served with 3 scraps of dry cabbage, no sauce and was dry as a bone and inedible. I phoned again to ask for a refund and was told no. If I wanted to pursue a refund I would have to email their head office (no address was offered). I asked again and was put on hold for 10 minutes. The man then came back on the phone and shouted that the manager would deal with it and promptly hung up. Dreadful customer service in the middle of a dreadful dining experience. It would honestly be hard to have got this more wrong. Still no word from the manager and still no refund.

Unfortunately not Authentic India Food as I expected. But the food is not too bad. Not oily. We ordered some spicy Chilli Chicken. Adding extra chilli powder is not the way to go spicyAdd extra Green Chillies instead!! Please! Also ordered some Biriyani - more like Chicken Pulao but tasted good. Loved the Rotis and Paneer Butter Masala though the currys are too sweet. Cleanliness of utensils could improve a tad bit more along with the decor.
