Sugar & Shakes

After my Daughter came home with a glowing review of this new dessert cafe we were also keen to give it a try, unfortunately, our experience was not as glowing! Despite my nephew explicitly asking beforehand if the milkshakes were thick, and he was told it would be, it arrived the consistency of milk. The waffle and cookie sandwich were fed back as ok. The only child that really enjoyed her dessert was the single scoop tub of cream and wafer! There was however much excitement for the free bag of sweets, which was a nice touch. Whilst the kids tried the desserts the adults opted for coffees, but we wished we hadnt bothered! They were awful and tasted like watery milk, not of coffee. After asking for another shot of coffee to be added, they were remade as a double shot but came back equally bad. Throughout the order process the staff came across as unsure of what they were doing and serve time was longer than expected, despite it being quiet. As much as we are keen to support local businesses, sadly I dont think we will be running back to this one in a hurry!

It was really nice, and made very quickly! The dcor inside was also really nice! I would definitely recommend to my friends

Extremely disappointing ice cream. It seemed to be just artificial gums and flavours. It was so hard that the spoon broke off in it. The vanilla flavour tasted completely bland. Style over substance.
