All the complaints seem all so familiar. i have had over 60 visits from repairs teams at TB Mckay/Harbour multi-Trades within 2 years. a good 30% were call backs because the job wasn't carried out right first time or even completed never mind to a satisfactory standard but rather to minimal cost. They also also refuse to take any accountability for further damage they cause sighting its only decor ( something im seeing a lot ). The lack of accountability they show is incredible even if you are lucky to get compensated they sight that our policy is only to pay (minimal amount). Defiantly not what you would be awarded if you go through the housing ombudsman as i have been forced to do. We are lucky we have it all documented with Harbour Homes help and are able to demonstrate that they have not acted in the tenants best interest. As for Anti social behaviour They will ask you to document it all call the police even to the point where you are putting yourself in a dangerous position then tell you there is nothing they can do "We cant move you " "We accept that Tenants should not have to live like this" "we understand your predicament" "The perpetrators have rights" " This wont be resolved anytime soon" " You will have to learn to live with it meantime" ( all actual quotes from Housing officers) they force VICTIMS there paying tenants to endure a living hell even with police incident numbers (often nearing 10 a day). The only bit of advice they gave me was Move into mid market rent ! if you want to escape the situation. Possibly at a higher profit margin for them. I thought all the negative comments on the internet were just disgruntled tenants After my experience im not so sure. So my advice is that if you are offered a House/Flat with Harbour Homes i would think very carefully i didn't want to give it one star but unless i did i cant post .

Port of leith are scammers so be very wary of them. We left the flat due to problems with neighbours. We knew there would be a few repair charges and we paid it in full. We got the email saying we had paid in full. About 6 months later they sent us an email saying we were owe them over a grand. And we are now having to take port of leith to court due to them demanding payment even with proof that we had paid already. They have suddenly doubled the amount owed. Edit: the issue has now in fact been resolved.

Port of leith is a scam we paid over a thousand pound in so called bedroom tax then I got intouch with charity to pay for us so we were due nearly 1500back we left the house but According to port of leith we were due them for housing repairs they didnt say we had to paint house back to original colours or they didnt take into account that the house was lived in not a show house and they never took into account when they decanted us from a damp ridden infested dump to the house all the stuff and all the carpets we lost with out compensate for you have to claim your insurance for the outing you in damp infested houses so please be very aware of port of leith they wont just scam you they will scam charities aswell as no word of money been returned to them as the money was supposed to be for my daughter staying with us but they were told and theyre staff couldnt be bothered putting on computer pkease be aware
