I got my hair bleached, dyed and cut by Alfred. I was really happy with my experience here; Alfred took his time to make sure he gave me the hair I wanted and and ensured I was comfortable throughout the appointment. He also gave me suggestions for my hair based on my skin colour, face shape and the thickness of my hair and gave me the hair I requested with these adjustments. He served me coffee, water, and even offered me beer ahaha. Additionally, between the bleaching and the dyeing, he let my hair sit in oil for a bit in order to reduce the damage on my hair, and it feels healthy despite the bleaching. Really friendly and I am very happy with my new hairstyle. Will be returning eventually. Thank you so much!

Came here for the first time today. I hadnt seen a hairdresser in three years and my last haircut was an at home job. I received a lovely haircut from Oscar, though felt it wasnt quite me/what I asked for (my fault for not fully communicating what I wanted). Afterwards, I got in touch and Alfred took another shot at my hair and its absolutely perfect. Kind salon, nice staff, would recommend to anyone!

I showed specific details of the haircut I wanted and the amount I wanted cut off. My hair was quite long and the amount I wanted to cut off was not a lot - 2 inches at most or even 1.5 inches. Unfortunately, I ended up with shorter hair than expected despite confirming the amount I wanted cut off. To add to that, my hair is now thin. Ive always had thick hair and now the bottom of my hair is just thin. Also, my hair ended up looking nothing close to the pictures I showed the hairdresser. I am devastated and now have to live with thin hair and a hairstyle I did not even ask for. Ive had my hair done at other salons in Edinburgh but I came here because friends have mentioned good things about this place but I guess I just didnt get the experience they did. I also realised that usually, in every salon I go to, they ask how would you like your hair done and this time, I did not get that question. Instead, my hair was blow dried with a random brush and then a straightener was used to curl it. Even then, my hair ended up looking dry and frizzy. My hair was also thinned throughout the haircut process - a technique that Ive never seen before. I dont know what the hairdresser did but all I can say is my hair is not what I wanted, at all. All in all, I came in with normal long, thick, soft hair with split ends since I hadnt cut my hair since December, and ended up leaving the store with short, frizzy & dry hair. I would not recommend this place to anyone who has thick hair because maybe they just dont have any experience with thick hair. One star only because the hairdresser asked if the water temperature was fine & because the other hairdresser who was at the cashier was nice and polite.
