Western General Hospital

Wouldnt even give the 1 star 6-7 hours waiting, not able to sit due to why Im here and no pain relief, all that happened in that time was a cannula put in my arm and yet again told to wait it seems they have 1 bed in ARU.. loads of staff around 1 bed.. pathetic to say the western has a Accident and emergency, be scary if a genuine emergency came to this hospital

Why oh why does the inadequate main cafe close at 4pm on a Saturday and Sunday? There should be a back up system like vending machines which can be provided for patients, staff and visitors. Especially as the expensive shop has also been shut down as well?

Moved to Scotland from Cornwall in October 2022 and referred to the Western for prostate cancer surgery. From my first visit, the care, attention and re assurance has been excellent. The professionalism of the staff shone out, particularly given the pressures they operate under. Thank you for making a particularly stressful time in my life more manageable.

Fantastic treatment. Staff so kind, friendly, nothing too much trouble. Everything well managed, and if NHS morale is low, there was no suggestion of it in Ward 78 and Ward 3. Well done and many thanks
