Visiting Johns shop is truly an experience. In fact we did it three times. John greets every customer and his merchandise is authentically Scottish. Best quality and reasonable prices. His stories and jokes are entertaining and are a bonus. Johns son owns a Xmas shoppe called The Nutcracker Shop has excellent Xmas gifts where you can find pretty decorations and ornaments.Two of the best shops on the Royal Mile.

John was fantastic. A classic salesman; the kind who spins a yarn that may be just a touch beyond the realm of being believed... but that's part of his charm! We checked prices a few other places and found better quality here at lower prices than other shops, but that was just a bonus. I'll always default to a friendly character who genuinely enjoys what they do, and John fits the bill. His hospitality is unmatched, and the items are great, too! The only place I'll ever shop for souvenirs in Edinburgh!
