Replacement patio built plus tricky retaining wall (on a slope) completed. An additional bit of paving round the side of the house was added too. Quote was given by Craig and the work started promptly on the day it was planned for. The team were very professional and worked really hard. They had a skip and portable loo so felt very covid safe. They left the site tidy and the work is as expected and of very good standard. I did get a quote from another company and Spruce were cheaper.

I asked for a survey for work in my gardens that was weighing heavily on my mind. I thought I needed to have all my paving repointed to prevent weeds and I was concerned at the cost. I was given an early appointment for a site survey and the representative arrived on time. A very polite gentleman arrived and gave me options that Spruce could carry out however very helpfully offered me a range of advice on what I could do myself if I wanted to keep on top of the weeds. I was delighted with the advice I received. Most firms just want to solicit your business however this gentleman was clearly orientated to helping me find the best solution. He was very knowledgeable about weeding and paving, advising me that due to the way that my paving had been laid, repointing would crack again in no time and I'd still be faced with weeds. He even gave me helpful advice on how to deal with algae that was discolouring the cement plinth on my house. I was very grateful for his advice, and whilst I did not require to formally instruct Spruce, I would highly recommend Spruce based on this site visit.
