The Grand Old Lady of The Mound. Built by the venerable Bank Of Scotland it served as their Head Office until the merger with Halifax when it served as Head Office to HBOS until the rescue by Lloyds during the 2008 financial crash. The original building designed by Robert Reid dates from 1806 but this was enveloped by a vast extension designed by David Bryce dating from the late 1860's. The museum is worth a visit to trace the history of banking in Scotland.
