He also re-learned with little notice, what we found out from him later, to be one of the most complicated tunes for the pipes, (that he had not played in many years), as we really liked it and we wanted to walk out of the ceremony to that song.
He is a lovely, genuine man, who interacts well with all of your guests, adults and children. He is happy to have both formal and informal photos taken. He even took the time to help my husband sort his kilt :) Last but not least he has the most fabulous wee wink as well!
My husband and I both agree that Roddy brings his own bit of special magic to your event, you will not be disappointed.
We would 100% recommend Roddy.

Roddy is an incredible talent with passion for pipes and whisky that is absolutely infectious. Myself and 16 friends visited Edinburgh for my stag party and booked him for a piping workshop and whisky tasting. It was within walking distance of the Grassmarket in a nice hall. The sound of the pipes blew the cobwebs from the night before clean out of some of the boys! We played scales on chanters to a considerable level of success and then had fierce craic each having a go on the great highland pipes..to not quite so much success
Roddy guided us through a brilliant journey of Scottish whisky featuring Speyside, Highland and Islay varieties highlighting different impacts of ingredients, process and barrels. He paced it so that we always had a drink in our hand and were fully engaged in conversation with him or listening to him belt out a few tunes!
Really enjoyed the workshop and we came away with really funny photos and videos too! I can't recommend his workshops enough!!
