Even though Roddy was extremely busy so he couldnt host the bagpipe workshop, Ross the Piper was equally excellent, fun and illustrative we got a glimpse of the history and the (difficult) art of playing the bagpipes. Loved the venue also. Thanks a lot gentlemen.

As part of a stag party we did an introduction to bagpiping & a whisky tasting with Roddy. Not only is Roddy an absolutely brilliant character but the session had us roaring laughing, having fun & learning about Scottish music & culture. He was incredibly easy & accommodating when it came to organising. I cannot recommend Roddy enough.

Booked Roddy from the reviews I read. We were not disappointed both my husband and I were in awe with Roddys choice of tunes. Our wedding guests felt important when being marched dow The Royal mile. We all gave Roddy 10 out of 10. We highly recommend Roddy for your special day.

Roddy played a great selection from his repertoire welcoming guest from beginning of our wedding at Pratis Barns in Fife, which was brilliant for our friends and family who had travelled from England & Canada, he really sets the scene. He also re-learned with little notice, what we found out from him later, to be one of the most complicated tunes for the pipes, (that he had not played in many years), as we really liked it and we wanted to walk out of the ceremony to that song. He is a lovely, genuine man, who interacts well with all of your guests, adults and children. He is happy to have both formal and informal photos taken. He even took the time to help my husband sort his kilt :) Last but not least he has the most fabulous wee wink as well! My husband and I both agree that Roddy brings his own bit of special magic to your event, you will not be disappointed. We would 100% recommend Roddy.

Don't have a stag in Edinburgh without booking Roddy!!! Roddy is an incredible talent with passion for pipes and whisky that is absolutely infectious. Myself and 16 friends visited Edinburgh for my stag party and booked him for a piping workshop and whisky tasting. It was within walking distance of the Grassmarket in a nice hall. The sound of the pipes blew the cobwebs from the night before clean out of some of the boys! We played scales on chanters to a considerable level of success and then had fierce craic each having a go on the great highland pipes..to not quite so much success Roddy guided us through a brilliant journey of Scottish whisky featuring Speyside, Highland and Islay varieties highlighting different impacts of ingredients, process and barrels. He paced it so that we always had a drink in our hand and were fully engaged in conversation with him or listening to him belt out a few tunes! Really enjoyed the workshop and we came away with really funny photos and videos too! I can't recommend his workshops enough!!
