Lumen are a great local company and we would recommend their service to everyone. From the outset they were responsive, contacting us quickly after our initial enquiry & booking a quote appointment within a day. Andrew who came to quote was on time, helpful and clearly knowledgeable about what work was needed. The quote was nowhere near as expensive as we were expecting and all the work was carried out within a couple of weeks of our initial enquiry. The Lumen electricians were friendly, efficient and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and when I asked for a couple of changes on day 2 they didnt mind at all. I previously used Lumen to change my socket from an old incandescent bayonet type fiting to an all in one LED light in my bathroom about 5 years ago but because the bathroom extractor fan was wired through the light fitting i couldn't make any sense of how too wire it safely myself, i checked out the Edinburgh City Council safe trader page and chose Lumen to do it for me... little did i know how much LED light technology would move on so when that fitting failed a couple of weeks ago i was left in the same predicament because i can no longer buy the same unit i had fitted 5 years ago, so i wanted to revert back to the old style fittings now we have LED bulbs that look like they are incandescent bulbs (going through this every few years seemed a madness when i can now just change an LED bulb), so i was once again left with how the heck do i wire this now i want to go back to the type of fitting i used to have? The electician (sorry i forget his name) who arrived this morning was on time and my wife dealt with him, she was over the moon with him and the work he did, she really does not like obnoxious tradesmen who talk down to her... which obviously saved me a tonne of grief lol That's twice i've used Lumen over a timespan of five years now and both times i'd give them 10/10.
