You can get freshly made vegan baking from Plantz, or add some interesting plant based supplies to your kitchen. My tip is to get in early if you're after the day's fresh food. It goes quickly, because it's good, There's not a huge selection but there's enough. You'll have a choice of no wrong answers from the counter top deli. You might sometimes not believe you're looking at a plant based alternative of your regular meat dish, but you are. I'm eating meat less often, and going to Plantz more often. I get that Plant food doesn't need to look like meat, I don't even think it's something that Plantz sets out to do, it's just how I started and what worked for me. Whatever the case, try the pastrami bagels here. Plantz also has food you won't eat straightaway. Much of it is new, foreign and exciting but I'm yet to find something that I've not liked! That mirrors my fresh food experience with the Inverleith store. Black bean spaghetti, for example. It's different! It's a healthy talking point. The shop is so clean and friendly too. I like going in, just to be in the store as its so pleasantly spaced and presented. The layout and open space has been especially helpful and reassuring during social distancing. When in doubt; ask! I find the service to be great here. The propieter is always so friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, easy to recommend Plantz. I think it's even worth a trip to this corner of Edinburgh. Fantastic little place, had a variety of food like pastries, wrap, cookie and Marconi pie, all were delicious. The cookie was the standout from me, one of the best I've ever tried. Highly recommend this lovely shop

This place smells amazing. Sadly, I haven't had a chance to try any of their takeaway food yet. They sell a brown rice noodle which is very easy to cook and has a perfect texture, great as a side to a spicy stirfry.

I've been a customer here since Plantz opened and am still a customer via Deliveroo now I've moved out of the area. The food is amazing, staff are incredibly helpful while not being intrusive so you feel at ease to browse or ask questions depending on your mood! Can't recommend enough for vegans and non-vegans alike

We've had our second go of this wee gem today, and we weren't disappointed. Cakes were gorgeous and moist, and the bagel I had was delicious too.
