Pros: food is good and fairly priced for the quality but it ends there. Cons: The most dreadful customer service and atmosphere I've ever experienced in Edinburgh - which really says something. Took my elderly father here recently for his first time. We hadn't seen each other in quite some time and I assured him they made good sandwiches and it would be a nice treat. Unfortunately however, as I had previously been warned by a friend who lives next door to Karine, the staff really were cold and uninviting in their demeanour. We were completely ignored while standing at the counter with no one else inside, as the two ladies just continued talking to themselves. After fair few moments I asked if I could order which prompted a huffing sigh from one lady who came forward and asked what we wanted. Our baguettes were made within 5 minutes which is fair for being fresh, but there was no pleasant exchange or thanks at their end, just that same cold and uninviting body language. I honestly can't say whether the staff are just up themselves because they have that cutesy little French shop in Morningside, or whether they're trying to adhere to the grossly outdated stereotype that all French serving staff are rude AF, but for hecks sake, I've NEVER experienced staff over in France be anything but friendly, chatty, polite and delighted to welcome you in to their establishment. I can cope with it for myself, but for how you made my father feel so unwelcome, you've lost me for life.

(Translated by Google) Very bad deal. We bought a cheese for 16 pounds and a bread. They denied us the possibility of going to the bathroom, since they claimed that it was only for the people who sat down, even though we had spent 21. The girl looked down on us during our visit. very very unhappy (Original) Muy mal trato.
