Sitting in the cafe with a cuppa without a scone Id hoped for. When I asked if they do a vegan scone the polite young man directed me to them however they were gluten free and contained hydrogenated milk therefore I enquired what I could have as there was an array of cakes surely one would be suitable for a vegan customer but no nothing. I am sorely disappointed in this day and age marks and Spencers really need to get on board with the change of eating habits. I cant believe Im sitting here and there was nothing to eat if it wasnt for the fact Id arranged to meet someone I would have left and gone to somewhere that is more modern and forward thinking.

My wife and I use M&S, great store. Visited cafe today, and has best cup of coffee ever. So good we had another. Well done to FREYA, our coffee maker.

You need to have your wits about you when you try to return or exchange something. I tend to shop online as there is not a Marks & Spencers nearby however, I have had to visit the store twice recently for either faulty goods or ordering the wrong size of clothing. On the first visit I queued at the only tills I could see to be told that although the member of staff would assist me if I had to return goods again that were purchased online I should not come to the till, instead use the dedicated online area. So, today I went there as the goods were faulty and was informed that 1/ I need a M&S bag (not Sainsburys) 2/ Even though I purchased online I was told I should have gone to the till as they couldnt exchange there 3/ The belt I purchased in store when I was last in also couldnt be exchanged there. The member of staff was quite rude and very smug. My intentions were to get replacements but instead I asked for a refund. I should have reviewed this as 1 star but the lady at the till was very understanding.
