I am very happy to say that one year on, I am extremely happy with the outcome and the freedom and strength that my back has gained. Walking long distances is now a joy, gardening and DIY are handled with confidence. It feels really good to have my back back. I would, and have, recommended Dr Jon to anyone who would listen. Thank you Dr Jon for a great outcome.

First of all, Jonathan is very gentle and I trusted him right away to adjust my spine, something I'd been nervous about before I met him. I was impressed by the initial appointment - his questions and assessment were thorough and interesting because he also explained things I didn't know about the nervous system.
I felt better right away after my first treatment and that continued until I'm at the maintaining stage. One of the things that amazed me was I hadn't realised how used to pain, tension and discomfort I had become; only once it started going away did I see how much I'd been putting up with.
He's treated the bones themselves as well as addressed other factors that may be affecting my back: he gave me stretches to do, showed me how to practise my posture and spoke to me about different types of stress, which led me to find a way to more successfully manage emotional stress. Also, he recommended a massage therapist and (with my permission) contacted her and my pilates teacher about my treatment. This meant I've been getting bespoke care from all three practitioners.
Jonathan is the only practitioner to order an X-ray of my back, and that led to a fuller understanding of why I was experiencing pain and what we could do about it. I've found the pattern of appointments helpful - at first I had several to get things in alignment. Once we were both happy how my back was moving, the number of appointments decreased. I am always welcome to make an extra appointment if I have an issue; this means I am kept comfortable.
