Beautiful food. Faultless service. Professional, friendly, adaptable and flexible, Kirsty and her team were an absolute dream to work with in planning our wedding for 90 guests on bonfire night in Aberlady, East Lothian. They customised their usual sharing platter service to provide 4 different plated main dishes with an autumnal theme. They served a stunning veggie haggis wellington with a variety of seasonal, organic, locally sourced veg and different types of mash as well as a delicious red wine jus. The meat option was bangers and mash, which went down a treat!! Kirsty and her team served lovely starters, a perfect selection if desserts and then some excellent evening food. The guests raved about the celeriac mac n cheese and the brioche bacon rolls! The vicious, unkind reviews and blatantly coordinated smear campaign is wholly unjustified and if anything has gone wrong at a specific event I can guarantee that it would have been due to external factors as kirsty delivered a top class service for us. These kind of events require meticulous planning and preparation, time management and resource management are key. Having worked in retail management, hospitality management and subsequently, teaching, I can promise any prospective clients of EFS that they would be putting their money in a safe place with this social enterprise. Many of our guests said it was the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding, or any event for that matter. Our vegan friends all said the basil and mushroom lasagne was undoubtedly the best vegan dish they had ever had. There was so much food of such a high quality, bolstered by stellar service, professional management and an abundance of passion for the job at hand. Best choice we ever made going with you guys! We booked Edinburgh Food Social for our canapes and helping serve drinks at our wedding reception at Riddles Court. Kirsty was so helpful, responsive and was great running the day of our wedding. The canapes were delicious, and took away a huge stress from us. Thank you again to you and your team

Edinburgh Food Social (EFS) catered one of our recent events. This event focused on supporting farmers, crofters and growers in Scotland's transition to sustainable and regenerative agriculture. EFS' food was ethically and sustainably sourced from local producers - showcasing exactly the kind of food we would like to see in a Scotland were food is produced in a socially and environmentally just way. All participants remarked on how excellent the food was. Kirsty followed our brief perfectly and did some magic estimating perfectly the amount of food needed! It was wonderful to have so many creative and colourful plates and definitely took our event to the next level :)

I just had a wonderful birthday lunch hosted by Riddle's Court in the Lawnmarket, with catering by Edinburgh Food Social. Dealing with Kirsty Haigh to discuss the menus was a joy: my friends' various dietary requirementsvegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-freewere all accommodated without difficulty, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was exactly what I had hoped for: there were gorgeous canapes, an excellent range of salads and delicious main dishes. Kirsty and her team were all so friendly and kind. My guests all commented on how wonderful the food was, and gave Kirsty a round of applause! I cannot speak highly enough of EFS, or thank them sufficiently. They made the lunch truly memorable and it was great to support such a worthwhile endeavour.
