In both cases, success depended on Scottish Water staff understanding the capabilities of the toolset at their disposal, making decisions around how they wanted to use them and then delivering business change communications across a 4,500 FTE major enterprise with locations all over Scotland.
CompanyNet's staff were excellent in helping SW decision-makers form their vision of how they wanted to work in future, before coaching and prompting work colleagues to actually behave the way the SW decision-makers wanted them to behave. In both cases full business change communications were developed in a coherent and planned way - this started with an analysis of current behaviours, before creating a strategic approach tailored to the individuals who make up Scottish Water's 4,500 employees.
On a technical level, they brought precious real world knowledge and experience of a M365 stack which often changes at bewildering speed.
They were able to advise which features would work in Scottish Water, and which ones were best avoided from a risk perspective, given the immaturity of the tool set and its lack of applicability to the context of a mostly industrial utility environment like Scottish Water.
They were also able to realistically plan out work and advise senior sponsors on how to respond when issues emerged in the course of both projects. This adaptability at short notice ensured both projects were delivered on time and under budget, delivering sustained and proven business adoption of tools which delivered valued to the business from day 1 of implementation.
