We stayed at the Lauderville guest house for 4 nights our room was so lovely and spotless, the bed so comfortable . Simon was an amazing host nothing was too much trouble for him. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful, fantastic variety. We cannot fault the Lauderville guest house in any way we didn't want to come home thank you Simon x we will be back

Lauderville House is located in the Borough of Mayfield (southern part of Edinburgh) right in the triangle of The Meadows, Holyrood Park (Arthur's Seat) and Blackford Hill (University of Edinburgh). Local transport ist available just 2 minutes walking from the house. Bus service 42 takes you either to the city center or to Cameron Toll Shopping Center within a few minutes. Mayfield Gardens (just 5 minutes from the house) provides even more bus services in any direction. Restaurants and taverns are located in the vicinity of Lauderville House. Just ask Simon for a recommendation. The atmosphere at Lauderville is informal and friendly. Simon is a very courteous and warmhearted person and has had always helpful information about locations and what to do and to see. Superior breakfast every morning, full Scottish, porridge or continental, just order with Simon a day ahead. We had an excellent stay there and would recommend it to visitors who love to stay in an quiet accommodation which is not a party location. This such a lovely, convenient located, quiet and quaint establishment that is perfect for a single or couple who are looking for a relaxing stay. The staff is incredibly accommodating and very nice. The facility is updated and in very good shape. The delicious breakfast variety everyday included was the cherry on top. Ease of entrance and exit. Had some light soft drinks available at all hours. Very much recommend the Lauderville Guest House.
