        An absolutely delightful place to stay. Made personal and welcoming by Sandra. The world would be a better place with more kindhearted people like Sandra, she went above and beyond in so many ways. The Old School House is a beautiful historic place dating back to 1815. My room was very clean, warm and cosy. The home cooked breakfast was delicious and more than I could eat. Public transport into the city centre is very quick and convenient and the village of Colinton itself is picture perfect with wonderful local pubs and people. This place takes you a step back in time where old school values still exist; goodness, kindness and warmth to fellow human beings.
