Amber went beyond my expectations. I never donr my hair before and was nervous at first but after popping in the studio and talking to the friendly staff I decided to go for it! I completely changed my hair, had a haircut and a dye and very happy with the results. I highly recommend the studio.

I had booked time with Mikey for my first ever haircut in Edinburgh. I went there based on the website - hoping that student discounts still apply. In my phone conversation with Mikey, I had discussed the discounts, and he said he would charge me 75 GBP rather than 85 GBP, as the website still needs to be updated about student discounts being discontinued. Mikey is no doubt a skilled hairdresser, but I felt at times he was very rough with he treated my hair during combing and brushing, and the whole experience felt very rushed - with hair being parted very quickly and my preferences being attended to all in a hurry. I was in and out of the salon in less than an hour for a curly haircut. I have been feeling pretty under the weather today so there were maybe occasions where I could have raised objections - but overall, something seems to be missing in the atmosphere, customer service, and making customers feel comfortable and open about themselves and their experience while the haircut is happening. While another hairdresser was conversing with her client, I felt that Mikey had a quieter approach which appeared somewhat stern, which is not my style. During payment I asked about paying 75 GBP as we had agreed, but Mikey simply had forgotten about that deal - saying that he talks to a lot of people on the phone and simply doesn't remember what he said to me about paying 75 GBP. I paid my 85 GBP - but I am pretty sure I would have had a better overall experience for cheaper elsewhere in Edinburgh that is more sensitive to my hair and gentler on the soul.
