I am an international student that arrived in Edinburgh on the 10th of September 2022. The next morning I directly opened up a Bank of Scotland account through the mobile app. The application itself has a decent UI which was easy to navigate. However, the security verification was the phase where things get a little bit complicated. In short, I had problem setting up my account due to the pin and security code got lost in the mail... Along my waiting time, I withdrew cash through BoS's branches and they were super helpful. There was a time where I only had BP50 and I was allowed to withdraw it. In the process of my tuition fee payment, BoS's staff were guiding and accompanying me throughout the process. Due to the high amount of payment, there were security measures being implemented and got sorted in the end of the day. It took me one and half hour for the process and personally, I had a pleasant experience. Thank you for your service.
