The Cake Lounge Edinburgh

Didnt live to expectations. Ordered a cake which was the same price as any good and professional bakers, but the cake was nothing like it. Taste-wise: very very very sweet, you cant even finish one slice, it just feels like youre literally eating sugar. Didnt look appealing. Very disappointed. I really didnt want to give a bad review but when you buy something expensive you expect quality as well. Im sorry but I hope we see improvements in future.

If I could I would give zero stars. This cake was paid for by the money kids raised working long hours. The cake was horrible, hard with no icing. The delivery was very late and overall disappointing. What a shame and waste of money. For the hours of consultation, the back and forth and I even went in to make sure my preferences were explicit. Yet, what we received was a juvenile attempt at baking. I will never go there again. What a low way of making a fast buck. Save your money and find a professional.

Cupcakes are phenomenal, one of the best treats in the Newington area! And shop owners are lovely too.
