Greedy bar stewards who want to charge to shoot a few photos for a couple who had just got married. Publicly funded yet want to charge 'about 50' (according to the member of staff who hounded us) for 5 minutes of photos. I don't think so. Total greed, nothing more. Edinburgh is awash with fabulous vistas - such a shame the clowns running this venue think they own the place. In a response to another photographer, the anonymous staff member said "Admission to our site is free and visitors are welcome to take photos anywhere they like but as a charity we charge for commercial photoshoots." You've received public funding to the tune of tens of millions of pounds, the couples and photographers who occasionally take photos at this place have already contributed to your charity. Yet another so-called 'charity', where there are highly paid staff dictating what the rest of us can do. Such a bad attitude to have and leaves a nasty taste in the mouth when you consider there is zero cost to you by allowing couples a few photos outside and without infringing on other visitors or your staff. Get a grip. **follow-up to response from Collective. You are a charity, funded by the public purse. Your arbitrary fee takes no account of the time required to shoot a few photos, the fee paid by the couple for the service (IF a fee was paid at all, your colleague didn't even ask this, she assumed a fee was paid). We all get the situation with covid and funding, but it's a lame excuse for such a pitiful lack of compassion towards a couple on their wedding day. No congratulations, no asking to have a word with the photographer, just a demand for a fee to be paid. Here's any idea - why not ask for a voluntary contribution to be made, with no minimum amount. And ask nicely - you might get a more favourable response! Going out of your way to wind up the public you are supposed to serve sums up the quango attitude.

Lovely to he able to go INSIDE this familiar city landmark and learn a bit about the history. Look forward to seeing exhibitions in this space.

(Translated by Google) Magnificent place where you can contemplate Edinburgh at 360. If you are lucky and the weather is nice then admire the sunset before going back down. (Original) Magnifique lieu o vous pouvez contempler Edinburgh a 360. Si vous avez de la chance et qu'il fait beau alor admir le coucher du soleil avant de redescendre.
