I recently had the pleasure of working with Stuart on my garage conversion project, and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with his professionalism, straightforwardness, efficiency, and competitive pricing. Stuart's services were priced very competitively without compromising on the quality of work. He also dealt directly with my structural engineer, which minimised my involvement and made the process extremely straightforward and stress-free from start to finish. We got in touch with Venn Architectural Services to look at an internal wall demolition in a listed building within a conservation area in Edinburgh. We didn't really know where to start, including the process involved, likely cost and what was required. Stuart was really helpful. He clearly explained the options available to us in laymans' terms, as well as the process involved, and the likely timelines. He was highly responsive, very reliable and upfront about the costs. Everything happened in exactly the way he said it would and we're now looking forward to undertaking our building and demolition work. It was a seamless experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Venn.

We worked with Stuart to scope our renovation project which required structural engineering input as well. Throughout the project, Stuart was excellent in his guidance and advice. His expertise and understanding as we explored different options helped us settle on a way forward, and he led the building warrant and listed building consent processes for us, ultimately with permissions granted in both cases. Stuart put us in touch with his contacts at McColl Associates for the structural engineer input and seamlessly integrated their drawings into our applications. Highly recommend Venn Architectural Services, and will definitely do so to my own friends and family.

Pros: knowledgeable, professional, reasonable pricing, good communication. Cons: none. We used Venn Architectural Services to create plans to renovate our house. The scope was ultimately to convert the attic, add a staircase, open up the kitchen/dining/living room, remove a conservatory, remodel kitchen and maximise storage. Stuart has been extremely professional and available throughout the end to end process, which includes a detailed site visit to measure the entire house, offer different design proposals, submit plans to the council for planning permission and building warrant. Must be said, plans were accepted first time with no hiccups - I trust this is down to Stuart's experience and knowledge of local building regs. Stuart has also been available post council approval to answer questions from myself and the builder, which I appreciate a lot. I would highly recommend Stuart's company for anyone looking to renovate their house.
