On arrival we were met with a blazing fire, cosy house, a welcome pack plus fresh eggs from the croft's hens. The cottage is fitted out to a very high standard. Super comfy beds & seating, fully equipped kitchen, plus maps,books,DVDs & toys. Eimear & Mackie have clearly put alot of thought into how they can make their guests' stay as comfortable as possible. Attention to detail is evident everywhere - from heated bath towels in the mornings to a torch on hand should you need one at night. Our hosts were also on hand with advice & local knowledge on what to do in the area & there is lots to do! The West coast is also within easy reach & we enjoyed a great day out there in glorious autumn sunshine. But its not all about the great outdoors & and having an action packed holiday. We enjoyed some fabulous weather but Capercaille is just so comfortable that a rainly day spent relaxing by the fire , reading a book or just enjoying the views can be just as appealing and the night sky with no light pollution is just amazing - we even saw a shooting star on our first night! Contrats & thanks to Eimear & Machie for making Capercaille such an idealic holiday destination.
