Dornoch Croft Holidays

Lovely peaceful site with great views. The facilities are kept to a high standard and the owner is a nice friendly guy.

We had such a lovely stay at Dornoch Croft campsite. The owners Allan and Susan are such lovely friendly people and really made us feel welcome. The campsite is such a peaceful place with such lovely views. The toilet/shower block is a super cute log Cabin and is immaculate. It also has laundry and washing facilities which was great for ourselves whilst doing some travelling. We just loved our time here and were really sad to leave. We stayed at their Airbnb and the entire time we had hardly any warm water and we were cold the entire time. We were aware that this was out of the host control and so therefore we did not make a big deal about it. We had to leave days before our trip was supposed to end as our airline made us change our flight and we only had 15 minutes to leave. After we left a nice review, they preceded to leave us a nasty review. They said that we didnt notify them until after we left and that we left dirty dishes, we didnt attempt to clean and that they refuse to host us again. If we would have notified them when we left we would have woken them up in the middle of the night. We also cleaned all of the dishes except for three dishes and we didnt put the rest of the clean dishes away as we didnt want to make the cabinet wet. There was no manual for when we left so when had no knowledge of where to put the trash. We would have stayed here again but because of their rudeness we refuse to stay here ever again.

Highly recommend staying here when being in the area. Super clean accommodation, nice host and everything you need for a relaxing vacation/time off. From the cosy sofa you can watch the cattle grazing. If the weather allows you can also sit outside. There is also a nice, short trail close by to walk. We also walked to the city which is about 45min walking distance
