Absolutely beautiful, everything about this place is so special,it was my first time staying at catchpenny safari lodges, and I will definitely be back, the attention to detail is on point and the owners have thought of everything,I was greeted by the lovely lady Lorraine who was kind enough to light the log burning stove,as being a gas central heating kind girl I didnt have a clue,I stayed in lapwing lodge, and I couldnt fault it,absolutely immaculately clean, and I could go on,the views are stunning and this deserves a 10 star rating.

Visited friends who hasd rented accommodation for a few days. Unique experience right on sea front. Enjoyed lunch and inevitable catch up chat. Beautifully presented and adapted for scottish climate with wood burning stove and plenty of sheltered seating. A better day would have utilised open fire pit and sheltered veranda. We will be back to have a peaceful holiday week.

These lodges are fab, beautiful location, everything you need in them, comfy beds, very clean with lovely attention to detail to make your stay perfick!! Sadly no one can control the weather we experienced gale force winds, ok during the day but not so in the middle of the night.!! Definitely come back again for trip no 3 (springtime)

Second visit to Catchpenny and again had a fantastic time. Perfect views of the firth of forth while sitting on the decking with hot water bottle (provided by the host) watching the world go by. Fantastic walks along the coastal path to elie or in the other direction to st Monans and Pittenweem, two lovely fishing villages. The safari lodge is perfect, my husband loved cooking on the woodburning stove but there is a 2 ring gas cooker aswell for convenience. Beds very comfy and shower great. Take books to read and games to play (and wine). Since it's a safari tent there s no TV. Overall I would highly recommend for a family break with young and older kids. Will definitely be returning. Would recommend the yellowhammer lodge or the closest to it. loved cooking
