Cornes DIY

Purchased 12 doors from Cornes in East Kilbride. When they arrived the joiner examined them. When he got to number 7 with small dents and various other marks he gave up. Phoned shop and was told that the painter should be able to sort marks. I said I was not accepting sub standard doors at the price I had paid for them. Both Andy and Charlie do not know how to speak to customers on the phone. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. In the end Charlie Cornes said he could not be bothered with the hassle. I told him that I could purchase the doors on their web page cheaper. He said I was looking at wrong doors and the wrong sizes. You pick the door then sizes from a drop down list, no room for error. In the end they uplifted the doors and I received my money back. Would not shop there again. Prices higher than other places for the same doors and they come from the same suppliers. Andy and owner both need a course in customer service. The days when men talk down to women has long gone and they should realise this.
