        The towbar wiring tester works well on testing the towing vehicle socket. Each circuit lights an LED on the tester when the applicable lamp is operated. The trailer test is a continuity check of all the trailer lamp circuits with a lit LED indicating the good circuits. NOTE: This function may not work for trailers with LED type lamps. The tester is powered by a 9 volt battery so there is not enough power to illuminate the trailer lamps. Comes with 7 to 13 pin adapters but does not test the switched and permanent power circuits on 13 pin tow sockets. For the price it is OK. Useful for quick check of trailer wiring before driving on the highway. No instructions supplied. Do each check separately. Do not connect to the car and the trailer at the same time.
