A web site that is useless. Always crashes, and to get someone to answer phone is impossible. Its a very poor service

I have been in Scotland since Feb. As a Non British citizen, married to a British citizen I have had to pay a huge amount to NHS in order to use the services. It is shocking to say the least. No one answers the phone. To get an appointment is just impossible, so much so that I have had to pay yet more to see a doctor privately. They subscribe meds without seeing you. Really not use to this kind of service.

I know I'm in the minority here. But I've found the care I and my son received was professional and helpful. My son had been vomiting for over 24 hours and called for advice on how best I could help him. I got through to reception and they said a nurse would call me back. Which she did an hour later, she talked me through my son's symptoms and assured me that although it's upsetting to watch him be sick it should fade away within the next 24-48 hours. Being a first time mum I just needed some medical reassurance and I got it. I understand that the phone system isn't great, I actually got cut off while waiting in the queue. But it's not the staff's fault, please be kind people.
