Last week, I got a text asking me to book a phone appointment to discuss blood tests. Ive been trying for three days I have called that number no exaggeration 87 times and I have never spoken to a person just a machine telling me sorry theyre on another line. It shouldnt be this hard! Im in limbo, not knowing whats happening. Surely if you have the results im waiting on you would schedule an appointment and tell me when it is instead of having me sit by the phone at 8:30 every morning, trying to get an appointment before they all run out. The system as it is isnt working a queueing system would at least allow me to know how long I have to wait I understand that you got complaints for the old system, but it has to be better than this. At least I would feel like Im not just being left. This has been since the beginning of March. We are now nearly at the end of April and I still havent seen my doctor.

I appreciate the hardships and stress the NHS is under which is why 4 stars, just wish I could get help as often feel I get dismissed and not listened to, but I understand it's hard in the system. Just some feedback for some doctors, please stop making faces or comments like you're disgusted, patients already feel bad and awkward enough about certain things wrong. Pulling a face of disgust at hemorrhoids or sarcastic remarks towards someone having to hand in fluids for testing, isn't helpful and makes us feel worse. We appreciate your jobs are hard. We just want help :(

Beyond incompetence. Trying to leave a message on an answering machine for a repeat prescription, in APRIL and i'm met with an automated message saying the practice is closed for CHRISTMAS and shall reopen in January. How does this even happen - Incorrect bank holiday message left on? Never mind the fact that they need to be open in order to leave an answer machine message? So bored and annoyed with them at this point - moving to Hunter Health as I've lost count of the number of times I've been ping ponged between the practice and the local chemist as they blame each other for losing or not actioning urgent prescriptions. Wouldn't be surprised at all if folk end up off WORSE healthwise while waiting on their medication from this place. Edit to response below: OF COURSE ITS STRATHCALDER MEDICAL PRACTICE I DIDNT JUST PICK A RANDOM DOCTORS OUT OF THIN AIR. Just spent the morning wrestling with your telephone IVR system who requests a press 2 for repeat prescriptions then beeps and clicks off to nothing. I could write a different review weekly on whats going wrong here. I should say the staff are lovely if you ever get to see them, which considering I get a text randomly twice a week with zero notice saying doctors are shut today cause we unexpectedly have no staff I dont get to see them anyway. Unfortunately cant review any lower so just imagine were at zero at this point. EDIT 2: Just a small update that Ive spent 2 days now with over 600 failed redial attempts from bang on 8:30am still having not reached a doctor. Id be as well just go and Google a treatment plan.

Geez, the staff are struggling under immense pressure loads, but I have always had professional and felt they are doing their best. All the doctors and nurses in my 10 years of custom have provided my family with first class medical care in a badly funded and managed NHS structure. The Tories want an American style private medical system implemented by stealth. Forcing Doctors who work 12 hours a day to leave the NHS as it's impossible to have a life when under this strain. Please treat these guys with the respect and understand they are doing their best for their patients.
