Arnold Clark East Kilbride Motorstore

Previously had a great experience here but since its gone completely opposite way.nStarted out well and friendly although we were being charged more than what we saw online, apparently doing us a favour by bringing the price down slightly. All we asked was make sure car is in good condition alloys and inside etc, said this before we even got the car to save two journeys. Get there and the car wasnt up to scratch. Specifically the alloys we mentioned. Fair enough it got sorted but we had asked this beforehand to save two journeys. We had also been promised mats which there was no sign of. Wouldnt usually bother but was hoping for an easy transition with no hassle. We go back up maybe about a week later car looked better still no mats, which again its more the principle after the disappointment. Any time we tried to phone salesman wasnt in or at desk. Yet when my partner went in on a day we were told he wasnt in, shock horror he was in. We were told next payment would be the new car and one we traded in was sorted got charged for my Audi again told by finance company Arnold clark hadnt settled the balance and that is why. So I phone up arnold Clark to be told ultimately should have cancelled my direct debit , inaccurate information. Told in the end we should have expected that payment and will be refunded in a few weeks. Cant give us a date for new car payment but hey we got the mats eventually after paying for a car I wasnt prewarned about. Had we known we would be paying for 2 cars in one month that would be less of a shock. Had all the problems been sorted to begin with there would have been more than 2 weeks between old finance and new essentially preventing this from happening if the information we were given was actually even accurate. Had to phone the finance company myself to be told no payment had been made even though we were told it was in a queue by Arnold Clark luckily enough the finance company have been great and informed me properly on the actual process. So what should have been a stress free experience has been the opposite. Dont enjoy writing these kind of reviews but it felt very much like as soon as the sale was through or there were problems it became pulling teeth to get it sorted or get communication. I heard off other people the service hadnt been the best and went in off my own back because my previous one was good. Sorry to say I wont be back at the EK branch after all this. Should never of been this difficult or problematic. Genuinely disappointed as it started off so well. I will say the branch manager at least took the time to take my call to find out why there had been no payment made to finance company yet.

Although short of time, I went here to view a particular used car I had seen online. As I liked the look of it, I was able to secure it with a 99 deposit. I then arranged a test drive for the following day and completed the purchase within 2 days, which was arranged for my convenience. I have only good comments that I could add about the sales team. This was my first purchase from Arnold Clark. It won't be my last.
