Changed from three stars to one, it should be zero, can't rate somthing that dose not exist any more. As I feared the cafe has now closed. Sainsburys say they are "Transforming our food service" but into what I don't know. What I do know is I don't shop at Sainsburys as much now that I can't have a coffee or somthing to eat when I shop. Sainsburys have "transformed" me into a disgruntled customer. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the coffee's great. Would have given more stars, but was extremely disappointed to find out that the kitchen has been closed and the cafe now only sells a limited range of snacks and no proper meals. Visited on Saturday lunchtime and what would previously have been a busy and full cafe was now barely a quarter full. If business doesn't pick up I fear it may close altogether. I just don't understand Sainsbury's reasoning for this.

Waited 30 minutes for very basic food. I ordered couscous salad chicken. What I got was a large plate of lettuce with chicken and to be fair a good portion of couscous. I pointed out to kitchen staff that a plate of lettuce is not a salad and asked for tomato and cucumber. I was told I would have to pay extra. I'm pretty sure that a plate of (undressed) lettuce does not qualify as a salad. The portion of lettuce was huge and i left most of it. In a world where we have to consider waste Sainsbury's should consider this. The menu should say couscous ,chicken and lettuce. (and additional cost for tomato and cucumber) . Spoke to a manager on leaving the store. Fantastic customer service . I was given a gift card for the store. Totally impressed . Well done .

I had lunch here about a month ago, had just turned vegan so decided to try the only vegan choice on the menu. It was sweet potato katsu style. It was disgusting, it had been microwaved, and the breadcrumbs were soggy, and it was tasteless. I actually sent it back which I never do. I was offered an alternative which the only choice was tomato soup. That arrived Luke warm. I just ate it. I wasnt apologised to and wasn't given any money back, (the tomato soup was much cheaper). I just won't bother ever going back. There's a m and s around the corner and Acosta.
