Sir David Sellers
We had driven virtually from the west coast to the east, to holiday in Lower Burnmouth. On that "historical route", the A7, from Carlisle to Edinburgh there are virtually no, if any, inns open nor services. We were gasping for our after lunch coffee and the First and Last was indeed our first opportunity to slake our caffeine need. It was so sad to see the devastation which had been caused here by Storm Arwen and that they were still unable to serve any food at all. We had been looking forward to Sunday Lunch here. Anyway, I first went in the ask if they were serving coffee. Happily, the answer was "Yes". I also asked if they were "dog friendly". Again, happily the answer was "Yes". So, we had a nice latte, served by Ewan, who also brought treats for Merlin - our dog. Now, that's 5*.
