Houlet Studio

We engaged Houlet Studio when we moved house as the floorplan in the existing attic conversion wasn't working for our family's needs. Lorna took our request (which was quite simply '3 bedrooms and a family bathroom please'!) and came up with a fantastic option, thinking creatively to make the best use of the space available. Neil then managed the contractor tender process on our behalf and was invaluable in offering expertise and advice in an area that was completely new to us. We are delighted with the service we received from Houlet Studio and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for architect services.

Both Lorna and Neil have been absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Due to a rapid extension of our family, we needed to extend our home to accommodate this. Lornas variety of design concept ideas showed she had listened carefully to our requests, and gave us a variety of options available to us - all expertly executed in easy to understand drawings, which she then thoroughly discussed to aid understanding. Both Lorna and Neil liased expertly with the overseeing of the construction of our two storey extension, communicating promptly and effectively with structural engineers, building standards surveyors, joiners, bricklayers, etc. Nearing the completion of our extension, Lorna even gave us some mock up interior design advice of how to best utilize our new space, incorporating our style beautifully. We now have a completely renovated home - going from a run down 2 bedroom house, to a stunning 4 bedroom (en suite off the master) with additional playroom, w.c and utility room and converted loft room and we truly couldnt be happier with the results. Lorna and Neil both provide a first class professional service. I required a garage conversion to bedroom/lounge area, with en-suite for my son. Lorna came up with first class ideas for creating a much better area than I would have ever envisaged. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was dealt with promptly and efficiently. Would recommend to anyone looking to create that something extra to their home. The end result was so good dont think Ill ever get rid of one of my sons!!!
