Judy Laing Photography

Really great day learning the fundamentals of photography. Judy was lovely and took exactly the right amount of time to teach and let the information sink in. The practical morning was beneficial as not only did we learn skills and elements to good photography (in manual mode), we were also shown on our own cameras as the class size was small and Judy was very helpful and patient. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in photography. Then to get out in the afternoon and put our new skills into practice really helped too.

Judy's photography workshop is perfect for those who have a DSLR camera but haven't the slightest idea how to use it off of auto mode. I have taken other photography lessons in the past but generally came away with a convoluted mess of information overload. Judy's class is different in the sense that she takes a very complex subject matter and reduces it down to three fundamental elements that are easy to understand and put into action. Along with that, the class size is kept small so that everyone gets personalized instruction regarding his or her own camera, which in my opinion makes all of the difference. Thanks to Judy's workshop I can finally say that I have the knowledge and confidence to shoot in manual mode and am on my way to harnessing the full potential of my camera. Thanks Judy!

We are return customers and are always so impressed with Judys ability to capture those special moments. She is fantastic with children and manages to bring out their personalities in the images. Judy is very welcoming, warm, friendly and her studio is great too! We look forward to booking another session in the near future.

Judy's workshop is the most worthwhile thing I've spent money on. It's not like any other training - Judy's is super welcoming, and The workshop is informal and relaxed. The notes are good, as is the pace. I've taken some beautiful snaps since the workshop which is the proof of the pudding. And speaking of pudding; the lunch is worth the visit if nothing else! Thank you Judy!
