        Genuinely taken aback by level of service. Exceptional. Visited Borders for weekend away, car came to shuddering halt at Orange Lane about 9 miles from the garage at 4pm on Friday. Breakdown cover recovery vehicle couldnt come for a couple of hours. Called 8 other local garages trying to arrange for somewhere for the car to be towed to but no one could help us - not even with my sob story of having my pregnant wife and 1.5 y/o son in the car! Called Starkys - guy not only said he could take the car but came out to us on the roadside, jacked it up, diagnosed problem, made some calls to order required parts, took us to our AirBnB accommodation, and fixed the car on the Saturday afternoon after all his bookings. Above and beyond! Couldnt praise him highly enough. Tried to give an uplift as price was so good too but he wasnt having it. (Issue was long-standing leak into CV joint causing loss of lubrication and corrosion - long drive was too much for it). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
