I saw the previous star rating for this property and was sceptical about booking but I had heard positive reviews by word of mouth so gave it a go. I travelled with my husband and two children and had paid for two rooms. We arrived to a very warm welcome by the owners (Myra and John). They were great with the kids too. We were shown to our rooms; the rooms were situated at the other end of the large house so we felt that we had a sense of our own space. We had the use of our very own living room, two bedrooms (one double room for my husband and I and a twin room for the kids) and a good sized shower room. All the rooms were clean, bright and fresh. All linens were clean and tea and coffee facilities immaculate. We were given our own key and could come and go as we pleased. Vaila is a short walk to the front and the main shopping street. It's actually really well situated for all local amenities. Breakfast each morning was freshly prepared and no request was too much trouble. It saddens me that someone rated the Vaila with one star but didnt quantify this in any way. As a family we had a great stay and none of us can understand why this lovely guest house would receive anything other than five stars. I read the guest book before we left and it was full of lovely comments and praise. We all slept well, we were all comfortable and well fed. The accommodation meant that, as a parent, I had one less thing to worry about. I cannot recommend the Vaila enough. Please ignore the previous one star review, it is neither fair nor accurate.
