Fantastic, friendly, and helpful staff. Always in the background to make sure that everything was to our liking. Food was excellent. Pity about some of the other customers who feel it necessary to ensure everyone around them we're aware of their conversion and their need to curse while expressing their opinion!! Nothing the staff could do about them.

First time here, I am a local and normally go to Edinburgh for dinner. The food was ok, I understand langoustines are frugalis but I literally got a teaspoon per portion. The starter was super small with the smallest scallops I've ever seen. Chips were like potato wedges, if I get chips I expect chips. May be a minimal criticism but I could handle the zero flesh of a langoustine to fill up on chips but I was served wedges, which I hate. Service from sitting down to the bill was a hour and then handed the bill and told to leave as the table was being turned over. Date night was so abrupt and we felt that we were just there for money and not for our enjoyment. The icing on the cake was the bill for over 200 pound which we were happy to pay but included a service charge for 20 quid plus VAT. I am a huge tipper but feel our expectations were pushed to paying this. We did ask to take this off and still paid a generous tip. A tip should be upto the patron and not what the restaurant decides. I won't be back.
