Today turned into a stressful day we really did not need, my husband has just had a quadruple heart bypass, another open heart surgery, a broken sternum and a lung operation to remove 2 litres of blood in the chest cavity, we went to get some of his stitches out today at New-park the nurse was lovely we explained how awful and painful it had been for my husband to travel to the surgery for this, the nurse said ask at reception and see if you can get the nurse to come to you as we had mentioned about a community nurse , so we did the lovely receptionist bent over backwards to try and help us, she told us the duty doctor would have to ok this, Dr Hussain was the duty doctor and refused this pretty much immediately without speaking to my husband in reception who she walked past twice, she didnt know the history or how he was feeling, as to be honest no doctors phoned since hes been home from hospital to see how hes doing, we felt disgusted with this, Im an unpaid carer and every time I have gone to this practice needing help with something its always refused Patient care should be at the heart of all medicine and I really dont think this surgery cares for the mental health of there patients we have gone to hell and back the last few weeks we really did not expect to have a fight with a doctor who does not know the history of my husband! All I can say is thank you to the lovely receptionist who listened to us and really helped, she is an asset to a failing doctors practice, who really need to listen to there patients and there feedback.

Very poor booking system! Patients have to call at 8 am and wait in a call queue for at least an hour. No advance appointments given at all. Where is the duty of care to people who have work commitments but still have medical needs.

I have been a member of this practice for many years. The GP's and staff are great but the booking system is terrible. You now have to phone at 8am for appointments that day with no advance appointments being available. How on earth is this meant to work for those who work or have any other commitments where advance planning is required?!
