Shop is ok but post office staff rude unhelpful and unpleasant. Plus the opening times are obtuse and unhelpful - they shut at lunch time, just when normal people might need to use it. Go to Halbeath!

Been using post office for 2 years and I have never been in one single time and tbf que isnt out the door. How long before you hire new staff? Honestly embarrassing.

I bought ink at WH Smith for an HP Deskjet printer. These printers sell for around 70, but one ink cartridge costs 25.99. There was a buy-one-get-one-half-price offer on at WH Smith, totalling 39.00 for two cartridges, which I purchased. There are images of cartridges on display, but the actual product is kept in a locked drawer. (In supermarkets they are security tagged because of the absurd prices). The first cartridge I used was only around 25% filled. The second was around 75% filled. I contacted WH Smith to ask if they keep the half-price (less than half-filled) cartridges separate from the full-priced cartridges - no response. I emailed their HQ - no response.

The post office is ALWAYS woefully understaffed. There are staff milling around but not behind a counter. The self service scanners do not scan QR codes. Set aside a good 30 to 60 minutes to get served. One guy on today and queue is snaking up the stairs. Occasionally have 2 staff but for the most part its one. Very poor indeed. I've been waiting 20 minutes and the queue has hardly moved as some of the transactions are very slow. Losing the will to live here.
