I photographed the wedding of Barbara & Marcin here. The venue is lovely and spacious as well as historic. The service was lovely and plenty of photo opportunities inside and out the venue. I hope to photograph more weddings here in future. Ravinder

(Translated by Google) It is a building historically intended to be the center of local government in Dunfermline. More recently, most of these functions have been devolved to other places, but the building still houses the Council Chambers. The building was constructed between 1875 and 1879 and was designed by James Campbell Walker. It uses a harmonious blend of French, Gothic and Scottish architectural styles and features a four-sided clock tower. It was built on the site of an old house from 1771 which was in turn built to replace the 17th century town hall, demolished as part of 18th century improvements to make way for 'Bridge' Street . There are many features of historical and architectural significance in the building. The structure includes heraldic stones salvaged from the house which was demolished in 1771. These are likely thought to have come from Dunfermline Royal Palace.
