My child comes home with bruises and is constantly saying that other kids are hitting. They don't seem to have a control over the incidents with other children. The staff seem to be constantly off ill or absent because they hate their job, or management since the ownership change, either way they are leaving in droves and the constant staff differences don't seem to help children settle well. My child has been persistantly ill for the past two months because their infection control seems to be very poor. Illness after illness. Simply increasing the ventilation and cleaning would help reduce infections. I'm not sure what actual development they help offer children, my child never seems to talk about any learning or development activities. Not happy at all and actively looking to move to a different nursery asap.

My son went to this nursery between March and December de 2021, after we relocated to Dundee. Sadly I had to move him to another nursery as I found the care and support from staff inadequate. The high staff turnover didnt help, they didnt know the children on a personal level to give them the support needed. My sons behaviour issues were put down to him being disruptive and naughty. He was in fact needing the right attention and support following his parents separation. I vocalised my concerns numerous times, but staff including management kept changing and Id have to explain our situation over and over, and no real action (other than making a plan) was taken. Since moving to a different nursery, having consistency in his care and the right support, he is thriving; his behaviour has completely taken a u-turn. Happitots may have been a good nursery before but its standards have become very very poor in my opinion, and Im so glad I went with my gut instinct and moved him when I did. Staying there would have been detrimental to his behaviour and development.
