A1 Kilts

Everything went well until the wedding day. 1 kilt was burst at the side, 2 were stained, tassels missing off sporn, 1 shoe for my grandson was dull n other was shiny. 2 other kids shoes were tight n they had to take them off. Yet the fitting was 2 wks before wedding. Everything with 1st fitting went well it was when we got the 10 sets of kilts we noticed these things. Too late to take them bk or go elsewhere. Check everything before you leave shop when you pick kilts up.

I booked the hire of a Gordon tartan kilt outfit with a ghillie shirt (rather than a jacket) about a week in advance. Everything was ready and nicely packed in a zipped suit cover when I went to collect the outfit from the Dundee branch. The assistant went through the itemised checklist with me to ensure everything was there - which it was. Kilt, belt, sporran, shirt, skene dubh, socks, flashes, and brogues - all for 29.00. (Picked up Friday after 2pm and returned Monday before 2pm). Highly recommended. Will definitely hire from A1 again.

Staff were accommodating but poor technology (website & emails going unanswered or redirected to wrong place) made the process a lot more of a faff than it should be in this day and age (and in comparison to rivals). I was made to feel a bit like I was being an inconvenience by trying to handle the process online! If I used again, I'd do entirely over phone or in person with branch!

Very bad, they felt me up when measuring me for a kilt which then did not even exist.
