Food & drinks: The menu was so incredibly old fashioned and the only thing appealing was the cheese and biscuits which wasn't so appealing when it arrived 8 for 3 small pieces of cheese and 5 biscuits will a dollop of pickle chutney , so disappointing as I was really hungry after a busy day working! I paid to Upgrade and I certainly received no luxury! A king superior room but nothing superior about it! 118 of my money I won't get back unfortunately staff were nice enough but when I mentioned about the menu being so old fashioned I was met with everyone always raves about how amazing true menu is!?! I'm sorry but what's amazing about a choice of a burger, Mac and cheese, fish cakes or a lamb kebab or steak! That amazing I could only eat cheese and biscuits as nothing else appealed!! Cmon be a bit more adventurous!! I wish I'd just driven back home and travelled back another 3 hours or have saved money and ate a healthy meal!

There for a large Sportsman's Dinner. 270 guests. Mixed experience. Food was decent quality, hot, and efficiently served to such a large number. Drinks service not great. Half the bar was closed off and at 5 for a Tennent's I feel it should've been smoother. Staff were all polite and friendly, definitely more a management decision issue. Food & drinks: Food respectable, especially at such a large volume. Drinks service poor and slightly overpriced.
