Was looking for advice on purchasing a childs safety car seat. Employees just stood around the till/door area chatting and had no interest in coming forward. Will purchase elsewhere.

The after sales care is shocking from the bike section. you cannot get through to the store but through o a contact centre, who have no idea what they are talking about. I would give it zero stars but i have put in something. I suggest you buy your bikes elsewhere because its not worth the stress when something goes wrong with them.

Appalling customer service. Searching for a Hozelock 30m hose and found great deal at Halfords reduced to 19.99. Checked stock was available in local Dundee store and ordered for collection, paid via PayPal. Confirmation of order and payment received immediately. Later received voice mail message from Scott or Steve or Stewart at Dundee store advising no stock available but he could order one or if I wanted to call to cancel the order. Then I see an email from Halfords that my order has been cancelled anyway and full refund will be provided. So I tried to call back Dundee store but was diverted to Halfords customer service call centre where Amanda advises me that the order actually hasn't been cancelled even though I have an email from them stating it was. She advises another item has now been ordered for collection 7 days later!! When I ask how they can advertise having stock in store for collection when in fact they don't, she tells me that its better just to phone the shop rather than try to order online!! Unbelievable. So I lost my faith in their ability to handle my order and cancelled. Amanda advised me that I should receive an email confirming my order had now been cancelled. When I tell her I already had one of those yet she told me it wasn't actually cancelled, she now advises that this new email will "actually" confirm that my order has now been cancelled!! You couldn't make this stuff up. Good luck if you want to order something online from Halford. Or just take Amandas advice and just phone instead. Good luck getting thru to your local store.

I suggest you buy your bikes elsewhere because its not worth the stress when something goes wrong with them.
