Superb. Friendly and informal, but obviously professional with it. Broke down everything for me in a language I could understand (no mean feat!), and helped me through a lot of FreeAgent queries I had (and subsequent follow up queries). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an accountant with a more forward-thinking approach... Oh, great coffee, too!

My experience with AM Accounting has allowed me to look at new routes to market, expanding the business and giving me a work/life balance which suits me. Cant praise the team highly enough, a very high bar for other Accountancy practices to reach. They dont just say they do CX they actually actively deliver on it, theres a novelty. I wouldnt be in the fantastic position Im in without their insights and support.

Under two separate businesses we've used AM as our accountants, initially lured in for the appeal of a progressive accountant that's looking to help grow your business and all the rest - just what we wanted to hear as a fast paced start up. Fast forward and we're initially left with an eye watering VAT bill with a day or 2's notice to sort out. Zero input as to how best use our money also. Renting vans on PCP instead of HP for one to lower our CT bill, but none of this divulged until laterally, at which point we already had 3 vans (one example). Conflicting answers depending on which accountant you speak to there also. Our other business hit with a similar situation as above. Great business on the face of it. In tight with Xero etc but dive in and have them on the books you'll get the bare minimum and be scrambling to rectify a financial situation(s) that could have been easily avoided or at least planned in advance.

Alasdair and his team at Ashton McGill expertly helped us migrate away from Kashflow into Xero. Their knowledge of Xero (and associated apps) really differentiates them from other accountants. They know the technology that helps business owners like me to run our businesses faster and more effectively. The Ashton McGill team are really responsive to requests for support. They explain everything clearly and often use video to explain steps effectively. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Alasdair and his team to others. Moving to Ashton McGill was one of the best steps I've taken for my business. Alasdair and his team are more than just accountants helping us to meet our tax and compliance obligations.
