I previously took my friend out for a coffee , a short while ago now, and as we were entering a cafe her walker had collapsed, she fell and I tried to help and I fell with her. However she ended up in hospital, fractured her shoulder, aswell as that, it turned out, she has a severe chest infection, why was this not investigated at the care home. Also the walking aid she was using that day had been given to her from a friend, this walker hadn't been checked as the wheel had unscrewed through time, so this walking aid hadn't been checked or serviced. I also contacted the care home to arrange a 10.30am visit, I was refused and offered 11am as they wouldn't have personal care finished by 10. 30am. This is mid morning and still not had personal care done, shocking!!!!. Wouldn't recommend.

I can not praise the care and dedication that the staff at Lammermuir house gave to my mother for the nineteen months that she was there highly enough. Every member of staff treated her with respect and dignity and she felt very safe and happy. Her room had a beautiful view of the sea which was very special to her. The palliative care that she received at the end of her life was given with great compassion and care. Her family could be with her at anytime of the day or night. Thanks to all the staff at Lammermuir.
