Stunning location, within easy reach of Edinburgh, nature reserves, local towns and supermarkets + petrol stations. Close enough to the A1 for ease but far enough away so you aren't disturbed by the noise. Dark and quiet at night. Very peaceful. We stayed as a family of 4 in the cart shed, we were missing a blind at the front door but this didn't dampen our stay at all. Good facilities in the cottage, maybe a few things could be updated. Could maybe do with a slightly larger TV for the size of the room. Beds were comfortable and rooms were basic but comfortable. Cannot stress how much of a lovely location this is. Close to walks would definitely stay here again. Any issues we had were happily sorted by the host. Would recommend if you fancy a trip to Edinburgh, to park at Newcraighall and get the train in, cheap and easy to use.

(Translated by Google) We stayed in these Cottages while going to a wedding in a nearby Castle. Very clean and fabulous we in 4 people had 2 bedrooms and 3 large bathrooms. The kitchen had everything. There was also an iron and ironing board. It's worth going, you need a car to get around. (Original) Siamo stati in queste Cottages per andare ad un matrimonio in un Castello vicino. Pulitissimi e favolosi noi in 4 persone avevamo 2 camere e 3 bagni grandi. La cucina aveva di tutto. C'era anche l'asse da stiro ed il ferro. Vale la pena andare, ci vuole l'auto per spostarsi.
